FAQ

Six questions we hear the most.

Short answers. If yours isn’t here, email info@thevaultai.app.

What is VaultAI?

A tool that reads sales, comps, and grading population data and tells you the most you should pay for a card. Same inputs a comp app shows — organized into a decision, not a chart.

How is this different from a comp tool?

We invert the math. The output is a ceiling — the highest raw price that clears our profitability gates — not a spread of recent sales for you to reason about. And we withhold the ceiling when the data underneath can’t defend one.

Where does the data come from?

Card Hedger for pricing and sales history. GemRate for PSA/BGS/CGC population. Google Trends for search interest. Every card’s detail page shows the source and freshness of the specific numbers it’s citing.

How often does it refresh?

Comps rotate across the whole liquid catalog on roughly a two-week cycle at current throughput (8,500 cards a day against ~121K liquid). Population data refreshes on the source’s cadence, which is roughly biannual. Every card’s detail page shows when its data was last touched.

Why is it invite-only?

Alpha. We’re closing feedback loops on the grader and the freshness pipeline before opening it up. Real answer: we ship less confidently than a v1 launch would look, on purpose.

When does it open?

No date. We open when the pipeline is honest enough that a new user can’t hit a screen we haven’t already stress-tested. Request an invite if you want to be in the group we test with.
